Thinking Like an Innovator

Thinking Like an Innovator

Life is full of challenges and problems. Every day man is faced with all kinds of situations. He encounters torrents of 'needs' that needs to be meant. He is confused and starts complaining. He doesn't know what to do again, after all, he has tried his best and exhausted all his strategies. Another person emerge from that same society and, being confronted with the same challenges, starts to explore new ways to overcome not just the challenges but he set the pace for new things in the environment. Who is this person? they asked in their state of bewilderment; yes; he is an innovator.

An Innovator is a person that innovates; He is a creator of new ideas. He is a problem solver! He is a solution provider! To innovate simply means to alter, to change into something new; to revolutionize; to introduce something new to a particular environment; He is called an inventor. Innovators have been able to master the art of creation.

How successful innovators think

1. They see solution instead of problems
.

Anytime they find themselves in the midst of challenges; while others are confused and complaining; they start thinking and begin to look for ways to overcome such problems. They know that the solution to every problems is in the problem!

2. They modify existing things and produced new things out of them.

They have mastered the art of converting the value of anything worthless into worth-full things

3. They see opportunities in everywhere

Having a mindset that perceives opportunities in every challenge has to be cultivated by you.

4. Treat success as a challenge

Success is a challenge. What makes people comfortable actually leads to fear of change and lack of hunger.

5. Change when things are good

You need to change when things are good, when money still flows and investment in the future is still possible.

6. Try more often

Eric Schmidt or Jeff Bezos will tell you that to hit homeruns what really matters is that someone throws the ball at you as often as possible.

7. Don't fight the inevitable

Instead of wasting precious resources trying to prevent the inevitable from happening, try to understand where the world is taking you, and find out what your place is in the new order of things.

8. Always fight positively

If someone attacks your business model, outsmart or out-innovate them. The only way to compete with Uber is not to pass laws that will only slow their growth; it is to offer a better, cheaper, more pervasive service.

9. Unlearn, relearn

As Alvin Toffler said, if you can’t unlearn and relearn in the 21st century, you are basically illiterate.

10. Focus on vision and data

We tend to think the world is divided into people that have a strong vision on one side (think Steve Jobs), and people who have tons of data on the other side (Google). Innovators have both: vision and data.

In conclusion, Understanding that being innovative is a key to unlocking your creativity; releasing your potentials and it requires a lot mind work. It is not a thing nor a project: it is a culture.
