2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

All treasures and precious substances are buried in the belly of the earth. The earth contains all kinds of precious stones, minerals and natural resources. According to Genesis 2:10 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Since man was made from the earth; we can say that there are treasures ( potentials) deposited in Him by God that needs to be unleashed for him to have a most fulfilling time on the earth . Potential is an unrealized ability. Potential unrealized; is a potential trapped and lying dormant which culminates to waste. It is so pathetic that so many people are yet to understand and realize what they carry(potentials) on their inside! They walk through the earth without having a meaningful and generational impact on their world. It is a known and well established fact that the richest place place in life is the grave because therein lies untapped potentials!

So many potentials are lying dormant and are wasting away because they are yet to be properly maximized. It is important to know that God hates waste.

How to unleash your potentials

We shall consider two ways by which one can unleash his/her potentials and they are:

1. You must discover it.
 For decades, the people in Niger delta, in Nigeria, traded in oloibiri, the first place where crude oil was first  discovered in Nigeria in Bayelsa State. The inhabitants of the land lived in penury for years until oil was discovered in that place. They trampled upon it not knowing that there was crude oil there. That is how some person's are. They never realized the potentials that are embedded in them that is why they are still under perpetual bondage of all sorts and their life is nothing to write home about. Understanding the value of what you carry on your inside is the first key to the discovery and releasing your potentials. You must go on a search mission to explore your potentials. Going on a discovery spree is very vital to potential discovery!

2. Tap into your potentials 
Discovering your potentials is not just  enough; you must tap into it. For instance, When a multinational oil company discovers crude oil in a particular place; they tap into it by drilling pipes to the ground for easy access of that crude oil. Before there can be a released of one's potentials; there must be a connection to the source.

In conclusion, if you must enjoy a constant and unending flow of your God given potentials; there must be a well established connection to the source(God). You must understand that unleashing your potentials is a vital key for living a fulfilled life and it depends on a lot of factors. When one potentials is not unleashed; sufferring castrophe and reproach is inevitable, and one will be stripped off honor and dignity.

Influence is the power to affect, control or manipulate something or someone; the ability to change the development of fluctuating things such as conduct, thoughts or decisions.

The Power of Associations

If you were to carefully analyze the major influences in your life that have shaped you into becoming the person you are, two inseparable entities are bound to come on top of that list: the people and thoughts that you chose to allow into your life.

Jim Rohn, an international motivational speaker once said in an article that his mentor used to tell him "Never underestimate the power of influence." Truly, the influence of those around us is so powerful it can change the course of your life in the right way or in the wrong direction. Most times, the influence of those we associate with is not usually noticed because influences, like leadership and attitudes, generally develops daily, not in a day.  Peer pressure especially, is a very powerful force because it is subtle. Peer pressure does not just refer to the early stages of our lives; it encompasses all areas of life. For instance, there's a common trend where young men are more concerned about fun but father's are more concerned about what their sons would become in life, because in those two are brackets, the things they worry about are not the same.

If you hang around people who spend all they make and invest nothing, chances are pretty high that you will do the same. If you around people who can't wait for weekends just so they can attend the next party or watch the next premiership or La Liga match, the chances are pretty high that you would do the same. If you stay around people who don't read, chances are that you won't read either. People can keep nudging us off course gradually until we find ourselves in a destination that will make us ask "How did I get here?". Those subtle influences need to be carefully studied and understood if we want to make the kind of progress that we have always aspired to make. If your dream is to keep making or start making genuine progress in life, then there are four questions that you need to ask yourself with regards to your association. They are:

WHO AM I AROUND?
Take a pen and a paper, go to a quiet place and make a note of all the people with whom you spend most of your time. Who are these people? Why did I become friends or associate in the first place? You have got to evaluate everybody who is able to influence you in any way.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO ME?
This is the second most important question to ask. What have they got me doing? What have they me listening to? What have they got me  reading? Where have they got me going?

HOW HAVE THEY GOT ME THINKING?
How you think is so crucial because it practically dictates how your life will turn out. And how you think is primarily shaped by the subtle influences in your life. How have they got me thinking? How have they got me speaking? How have they got me feeling? How have they got me behaving? This is very crucial because everything in life begins with a thought and develops into words and then actions; positive or negative.

AM I OK WITH ALL THAT?
Maybe everyone you associate with has been a positive, energizing influence or maybe not. But what will it hurt to just take a closer look. Everything is worth a second look, especially the power of association. Every association(positive or negative) will take you somewhere, but only one will take you in the direction you need to go.

You need to keep checking to find out whether your associations are tipping the scales towards the positive or the negative. Ignorance is never the best the policy.

 *3).* Cost of things are going to get higher, no apology.

 *4).* More people will lose their jobs, that is for certain.

 *5.)* More Entrepreneurs are going to be Created cos that is the only way out to strengthen the economy. We don't need more workers because workers are not productive people. if you don't tell them what to do, they can not think out something. Though it's not so much their faults, because that is what the Professors thought them in school for 6 wasted years.

  *6).* Many Students are going to drop out School in search of better Opportunities, as they have come to see the Higher Institution as the Biggest Scam of the 21st Century. Return On Investment(ROI) for a University degree right now in Nigeria is less that 1%. (Though education is for privileged anyway).

Life is full of challenges and problems. Every day man is faced with all kinds of situations. He encounters torrents of 'needs' that needs to be meant. He is confused and starts complaining. He doesn't know what to do again, after all, he has tried his best and exhausted all his strategies. Another person emerge from that same society and, being confronted with the same challenges, starts to explore new ways to overcome not just the challenges but he set the pace for new things in the environment. Who is this person? they asked in their state of bewilderment; yes; he is an innovator.

An Innovator is a person that innovates; He is a creator of new ideas. He is a problem solver! He is a solution provider! To innovate simply means to alter, to change into something new; to revolutionize; to introduce something new to a particular environment; He is called an inventor. Innovators have been able to master the art of creation.

How successful innovators think

1. They see solution instead of problems.

Anytime they find themselves in the midst of challenges; while others are confused and complaining; they start thinking and begin to look for ways to overcome such problems. They know that the solution to every problems is in the problem!

2. They modify existing things and produced new things out of them.

They have mastered the art of converting the value of anything worthless into worth-full things

3. They see opportunities in everywhere
 
Having a mindset that perceives opportunities in every challenge has to be cultivated by you.

Everyone is created to actualize a particular purpose on the earth. But before you can fulfill your God-given assignment; you must discover and unearth the Greatness in You. Understanding the importance of this puts you in command of every situations and circumstances that you find yourself. Greatness is the state, condition, or quality of being great. It is a state to be attained. It can also be achieved! Before you can attain greatness in life; there is need for you to understand that there lies within you the qualities and abilities of greatness. According to Shakespeare, Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em.

When God created you; He deposited a lots of potentials in you. You are naturally endowed with extraordinary powers; you are uncommonly gifted; able to accomplish vast results; you are strong; powerful; mighty; and noble. Yes, that is who you are! These are powerful words. Stop looking down on yourself. You are born a star!   When you are confronted with dire circumstances and unpleasant situations, and it looks as if the whole world wants to consume you; arouse the greatness in you to swallow them. When your body encounters pathogens or any foreign substance that is a threat to the body mechanism, it doesn't complain. It simply awakes a protein that is naturally endowed to fight and conquers them. it simply produced antibodies that fight against them and swallow them. That is what it means to awake the greatness in you.

Are you an athlete that is having challenges with your football career? Are you having a dead career? Are you having a dead business? Aroused the Greatness in you to revived and resuscitate that dead business and career. As a student, is your academic life in shambles and though it looks as if you will not graduate? Say to yourself, I have the abilities to make good grades. Are you an academician that has written and submitted tons of articles and journals for promotion but are ranked low and are considered below standard and you have not been considered yet? Say to yourself, I have the abilities to write ideal and fantastic articles that will not only earn me promotion but also international recognition. As a musician, has your music career hits the rock and it looks as if all hell has been let loose and you have already made up your mind to quit? Remember winners never quits and quitters never win. Say to yourself, I have greatness in me and I can sing songs that will make waves all over the world!

Finally, know that there is no limit to what you can achieve in life. All you need do is to awake the greatness in you. Most of us are children of mother society. From childhood, you have been raised by this 'mother of rules'. Her agents can be found in religion, education, politics and the media. Since our parents are products of this same system; they bring us up in the same way. You are told what to believe without knowing why.
What then is mother society? Mother society is a belief system that inculcate in us certain mentality. It is an established way of doing things that has been around for ages. It tells us a particular way to do things. We are all products of this tragedy called mother society. Let's say you are a student. You might have accepted the fact that a job is the natural next step after school. This is what Mother Society has taught you. She has promised to take care of you after graduation by getting you a job. She has caused you to spend years in school learning how to serve other Masters for a wage until you are too old to continue working.
She has also taught you when and how to marry, how to behave in public, how to lead, how to make money, how to run your businesses, etc.

Effects of mother society in our lives

1. It restricts you to a certain level

Anytime you want to take certain giants steps, you are reminded by mother society that it is impossible to achieve. It stops you from daring. It restricts you to certain level of success.

2. Mental bondage

Mother society puts men of great destiny in perpetual bondage! So many people today are in Career bondage, Financial bondage, Academic bondage, Marital bondage etc as a result of Mother Society Mental stronghold! The environment you grew up has instill in you a particular mentality about life that has molded and shapen you and that has formed your attitudes and approach towards life. The greatest stronghold in life is mental bondage. When a man is under a spiritual bondage, with the knowledge of the truth which is God's Word; he can be free but when he is under mental captivity, it takes a personal strong conviction to set him free! The success of anyone depends on his / her mindset towards life.

3. It robs you of unlimited possibilities
The world we live in is full of so much possibilities. We are surrounded by great wealth and blessed with so much potentials and natural resources. Mother society tells you that you can only achieve little and that creates a limit in our lives which  stops us from exploring and tapping into the realm of supernatural abundance.

4. It puts a burden on you
When people are under intense pressure; they can only achieve little. You are told by Mother Society what is expected of you, and that if you don't meet those expectations,  certain things are bound to occur. This creates tension in you and your life begins to follow a particular pattern.

What then should I do? Embrace Mother Nature and disown Mother Society! Mother Nature is God's representative in our physical world and she has a lot to teach you.
Mother Society tells you there is shortage; Mother Nature tells you there's abundance! Mother Society says you should be Realistic and Practical; Mother Nature says you should be Idealistic and Practical! Mother Society says Money is King; Mother Nature says Creativity is King! Mother Society says Obey the rules; Mother Nature says Create your rules! Mother Society says There's poverty; Mother Nature says There's abundance! Mother society says Get a job and work hard; Mother Nature says Be financially secured and intelligence!

Therefore, If you want to be a master of your life, you must be wary of Society's expectations. Do what you can do to relate equitably with Mother Society's children, but do not live to please her every whim.

Imagination, also called the faculty of imagining, is the creative ability to form images, ideas, and sensations in the mind without direct input from the senses, such as seeing or hearing. Imagination helps make knowledge applicable in solving problems and is fundamental to integrating experience and the learning process. It is the ability to visualized things. Every artistic work is associated with imagination.

During creation, God used the power of Imagination to designed all the beautiful things we see around us today-the firmaments, the galaxies, the planets, the plants and animals, and the most important unique creature called man. And this creative ability is naturally embedded in man. Everyone possesses a certain degree of imagination ability. The imagination manifests in various degrees in various people. In some, it is highly developed, and in others, it manifests in a weaker form. With the power of Imagination; you can recreate your world! You can have a heaven on-earth experience!

Creativity is impossible without imagination! Successful people know how to make use of their imaginative power to achieve success. J.M Barrie says " The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it. If you want to soar higher in life and become an achiever then you must learn how to make use of your imaginative power. Oscar Wilde has this to say concerning people who are living an average life "Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination". Only the average people live and die within their means. Why? Because they are yet to learn the diverse ways of creating wealth. Wealth is a product of creativity.

There are three categories of people living on the earth; The poor, The average and The wealthy. The difference between the first two and the wealthy is that the wealthy are creative people and, creativity is the product of the Imagination. Oscar Wilde also has this to say " Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.
For instance, having knowledge is not enough to give you financial freedom; but you need an applied knowledge to achieve it which is only possible with the power of Imagination! If you can imagine it; you can achieve it.
