The Last Minute Rush

Life is a race full of so many uncertainties. Things are changing everyday. We live in a world governed by a very important factor-time. Time they say wait for no man. Every time lost cannot be recovered. Time lost is life lost! Even as you approach a new month, you should learn how to maximize your time. Don't be a victim of the last minute rush. Most people are victims of waiting till the last hour before they begin to pursue that job, contracts, admissions and what have you. People wake up everyday with their hearts filled with ideas and plans on what to do next. I am waiting for the right time! I will execute it tomorrow they say. Tomorrow comes and they discovered that they are yet to carry it out. Oh! no; not again they scream. Before their very eyes, what they planned to do some days ago, days, months has passed by and nothing was done. Then, the sudden rush to do it in the last minute which will end up costing them a lot of resources. When you want to execute your plan in a hurry, mistakes are inevitable!
Jesus speaking in John 13:27....... “What you are about to do, do quickly.” . Now is the right time to execute those wonderful ideas and plans. You have waited long enough. For instance, a person who wants to pursue a career in academics needs to get all the necessary materials and start reading on time before the exam approaches if not he/she may score low grades which will affect his / her overall performance and eventually the final graduating grade. As a business man that is interested in purchasing a particular product, do it early to avoid paying a higher cost. As a contractor, start lobbying for that contract while it is still at its early stage before other competitors start bidding for it. Are you hunting for a job and you just discovered that a particular company is recruiting? Apply immediately. Stop waiting for deadline. Do you want to get married and you are financially, emotionally and physically ready. Start planning for it now. Whatever you are planning to do; don't waste time-do it now. Avoid the last minute rush.
Delay, they say; is dangerous. Procrastination is the thief of time. If you must achieve your goals this month, avoid the last minute rush. Don't wait till the last days of the month. Carefully plan your day and execute your plans early.

6 Success Stories of Great People Who Overcame Failure

Failure is not the alternative to success. It’s something to be avoided, but it’s also only a temporary setback on a bigger, more significant course. Everybody encounters failure at one point or another. What truly matters is how you react to and learn from that failure.

Take the stories of these six entrepreneurs. Their stories end in massive success, but all of them are rooted in failure. They’re perfect examples of why failure should never stop you from following your vision.

1. Arianna Huffington got rejected by 36 publishers.
It’s hard to believe that one of the most recognizable names in online publications was once rejected by three dozen major publishers. Huffington’s second book, which she tried to publish long before she created the now ubiquitously recognizable Huffington Post empire, was rejected 36 times before it was eventually accepted for publication.

Even Huffington Post itself wasn’t a success right away. In fact, when it launched, there were dozens of highly negative reviews about its quality and its potential. Obviously, Huffington overcame those initial bouts of failure and has cemented her name as one of the most successful outlets on the web.

2. Bill Gates watched his first company crumble.
Bill Gates is now one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, but he didn’t earn his fortune in a straight line to success. Gates entered the entrepreneurial scene with a company called Traf-O-Data, which aimed to process and analyze the data from traffic tapes (think of it like an early version of big data).

He tried to sell the idea alongside his business partner, Paul Allen, but the product barely even worked. It was a complete disaster. However, the failure did not hold Gates back from exploring new opportunities, and a few years later, he created his first Microsoft product, and forged a new path to success.

3. George Steinbrenner bankrupted a team.
Before Steinbrenner made a name for himself when he acquired ownership of the New York Yankees, he owned a small basketball team called the Cleveland Pipers back in 1960. By 1962, as a result of Steinbrenner’s direction, the entire franchise went bankrupt.

That stretch of failure seemed to follow Steinbrenner when he took over the Yankees in the 1970s, as the team struggled with a number of setbacks and losses throughout the 1980s and 1990s. However, despite public fear and criticism of Steinbrenner’s controversial decisions, eventually he led the team to an amazing comeback, with six World Series entries between 1996 and 2003, and a record as one of the most profitable teams in Major League Baseball.

4. Walt Disney was told he lacked creativity.
One of the most creative geniuses of the 20th century was once fired from a newspaper because he was told he lacked creativity. Trying to persevere, Disney formed his first animation company, which was called Laugh-O-Gram Films. He raised $15,000 for the company but eventually was forced to close Laugh-O-Gram, following the close of an important distributor partner.

Desperate and out of money, Disney found his way to Hollywood and faced even more criticism and failure until finally, his first few classic films started to skyrocket in popularity.

5. Steve Jobs was booted from his own company.
Steve Jobs is an impressive entrepreneur because of his boundless innovations, but also because of his emphatic comeback from an almost irrecoverable failure. Jobs found success in his 20s when Apple became a massive empire, but when he was 30, Apple’s board of directors decided to fire him.

Undaunted by the failure, Jobs founded a new company, NeXT, which was eventually acquired by Apple. Once back at Apple, Jobs proved his capacity for greatness by reinventing the company’s image and taking the Apple brand to new heights.

6. Milton Hershey started three candy companies before Hershey's.
Everyone knows Hershey’s chocolate, but when Milton Hershey first started his candy production career, he was a nobody. After being fired from an apprenticeship with a printer, Hershey started three separate candy-related ventures, and was forced to watch all of them fail.

In one last attempt, Hershey founded the Lancaster Caramel Company, and started seeing enormous results. Believing in his vision for milk chocolate for the masses, he eventually founded the Hershey Company and became one of the most well-known names in the industry.

No matter the challenges you are faced with; draw inspiration from these stories the next time you experience failure, no matter the scale. In the moment, some failure might seem like the end of the road, but remember, there are countless successful men and women in the world today who are only enjoying success because they decided to push past the inevitable bleakness of failure.

Learn from your mistakes, reflect and accept the failure, but revisit your passion and keep pursuing your goals no matter what.

Unleashing Your Potentials

Unleashing Your Potentials

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

All treasures and precious substances are buried in the belly of the earth. The earth contains all kinds of precious stones, minerals and natural resources. According to Genesis 2:10 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Since man was made from the earth; we can say that there are treasures ( potentials) deposited in Him by God that needs to be unleashed for him to have a most fulfilling time on the earth . Potential is an unrealized ability. Potential unrealized; is a potential trapped and lying dormant which culminates to waste. It is so pathetic that so many people are yet to understand and realize what they carry(potentials) on their inside! They walk through the earth without having a meaningful and generational impact on their world. It is a known and well established fact that the richest place place in life is the grave because therein lies untapped potentials!

So many potentials are lying dormant and are wasting away because they are yet to be properly maximized. It is important to know that God hates waste.

How to unleash your potentials

We shall consider two ways by which one can unleash his/her potentials and they are:

1. You must discover it.

For decades, the people in Niger delta, in Nigeria, traded in oloibiri, the first place where crude oil was first  discovered in Nigeria in Bayelsa State. The inhabitants of the land lived in penury for years until oil was discovered in that place. They trampled upon it not knowing that there was crude oil there. That is how some person's are. They never realized the potentials that are embedded in them that is why they are still under perpetual bondage of all sorts and their life is nothing to write home about. Understanding the value of what you carry on your inside is the first key to the discovery and releasing your potentials. You must go on a search mission to explore your potentials. Going on a discovery spree is very vital to potential discovery!

2. Tap into your potentials

Discovering your potentials is not just  enough; you must tap into it. For instance, When a multinational oil company discovers crude oil in a particular place; they tap into it by drilling pipes to the ground for easy access of that crude oil. Before there can be a released of one's potentials; there must be a connection to the source.

In conclusion, if you must enjoy a constant and unending flow of your God given potentials; there must be a well established connection to the source(God). You must understand that unleashing your potentials is a vital key for living a fulfilled life and it depends on a lot of factors. When one potentials is not unleashed; sufferring castrophe and reproach is inevitable, and one will be stripped off honor and dignity.

The Power of Associations

If you were to carefully analyze the major influences in your life that have shaped you into becoming the person you are, two inseparable entities are bound to come on top of that list: the people and thoughts that you chose to allow into your life.

Jim Rohn, an international motivational speaker once said in an article that his mentor used to tell him "Never underestimate the power of influence." Truly, the influence of those around us is so powerful it can change the course of your life in the right way or in the wrong direction. Most times, the influence of those we associate with is not usually noticed because influences, like leadership and attitudes, generally develops daily, not in a day.  Peer pressure especially, is a very powerful force because it is subtle. Peer pressure does not just refer to the early stages of our lives; it encompasses all areas of life. For instance, there's a common trend where young men are more concerned about fun but father's are more concerned about what their sons would become in life, because in those two are brackets, the things they worry about are not the same.

If you hang around people who spend all they make and invest nothing, chances are pretty high that you will do the same. If you around people who can't wait for weekends just so they can attend the next party or watch the next premiership or La Liga match, the chances are pretty high that you would do the same. If you stay around people who don't read, chances are that you won't read either. People can keep nudging us off course gradually until we find ourselves in a destination that will make us ask "How did I get here?". Those subtle influences need to be carefully studied and understood if we want to make the kind of progress that we have always aspired to make. If your dream is to keep making or start making genuine progress in life, then there are four questions that you need to ask yourself with regards to your association. They are:

WHO AM I AROUND?
Take a pen and a paper, go to a quiet place and make a note of all the people with whom you spend most of your time. Who are these people? Why did I become friends or associate in the first place? You have got to evaluate everybody who is able to influence you in any way.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO ME?
This is the second most important question to ask. What have they got me doing? What have they me listening to? What have they got me  reading? Where have they got me going?

HOW HAVE THEY GOT ME THINKING?
How you think is so crucial because it practically dictates how your life will turn out. And how you think is primarily shaped by the subtle influences in your life. How have they got me thinking? How have they got me speaking? How have they got me feeling? How have they got me behaving? This is very crucial because everything in life begins with a thought and develops into words and then actions; positive or negative.

AM I OK WITH ALL THAT?
Maybe everyone you associate with has been a positive, energizing influence or maybe not. But what will it hurt to just take a closer look. Everything is worth a second look, especially the power of association. Every association(positive or negative) will take you somewhere, but only one will take you in the direction you need to go.

You need to keep checking to find out whether your associations are tipping the scales towards the positive or the negative. Ignorance is never the best the policy.

Financial Predictions for Nigerians in 2017!!!!*

*1).* More Billionaires are going to lose more Money in 2017 especially those in the oil sector and Industrial sectors, cos wealth has shifted from these business environments and gone into Technology.

*2).* Many smart Poor people are going to become wealthy out of nothing cos the only time the poor become rich is during recession Though this is for the smart poor people.

*3).* Cost of things are going to get higher, no apology.

*4).* More people will lose their jobs, that is for certain.

*5.)* More Entrepreneurs are going to be Created cos that is the only way out to strengthen the economy. We don't need more workers because workers are not productive people. if you don't tell them what to do, they can not think out something. Though it's not so much their faults, because that is what the Professors thought them in school for 6 wasted years.

*6).* Many Students are going to drop out School in search of better Opportunities, as they have come to see the Higher Institution as the Biggest Scam of the 21st Century. Return On Investment(ROI) for a University degree right now in Nigeria is less that 1%. (Though education is for privileged anyway).

 *CAUTIONS:*

*1).* Don't use a political point of view to look at the ongoing opportunities in Nigeria.

*2).* Don't miss the grace that goes with Recession. Every Recession is a Blessing in disguise. If u miss the grace that goes with this ongoing recession, Wait for the next Century or enjoy the recession while it last.

*REASONS:*

Because History repeat itself every once in a while. During any recession according to economic history, one thing is constant. Viz;
New set of millionaires are produced. Right now Nigerian economy is heavily Pregnant about to deliver new set of Millionaire.

Qst: Are u going to be one of its Babies?
There will be what we call Wealth transfer or wealth shift
Most rich will have to get broke for some poor person to become rich
many big business will have to die for new ones to emerge.
For example, the recent Money scarcity in the banks right now will create a new sector of financial institution as many have lost confidence in the banking sector. And the Banks in Nigeria as we know them are not quick to Changes. So they will be caught on Guard. What a negative effect it will have on them. Well it's not our fault. Its called, Recession!!!!!!. Money will always move or shift hands every once in a while.. Watch out for this!!!!!
Some will have to cry for some to smile.
Its not your fault that is how it has always been.

*SOLUTIONS:*

Study what the Economic time Piece is saying and move towards its direction of flow. If u do the opposite please just save some money to buy a marine rope, for Suicide is certain.
(Not our portion anyway).

*ACTION STEPS:*

Ask serious and meaningful questions.
Don't Emotionalize the situation.

There is no loyalty in business. If its not working, its not working. the many years u have spent on that job does not count. If wealth has left that business environment, Move and shift to the environment wealth has shifted into.
Importantly, Put God first because you need His assistance to sail through. Good morning.
